The Egan Center is located at the end of Forsyth St., right next to
the Ruggles Orange Line station.
The Physics Department is adjacent in the Dana building.
BY PUBLIC TRANSIT
RUGGLES STATION on the ORANGE LINE, the NEEDHAM COMMUTER RAIL line,
the FRANKLIN COMMUTER RAIL line, and numerous bus lines, is at the end
of Forsyth Street. Signs in the station direct you to Northeastern University.
The Egan building is the first building to your right when you exit from
Ruggles on to the Northeastern campus.
NORTHEASTERN STATION on the GREEN LINE Arborway or Heath Street
(E) Branch and the NUMBER 39 BUS line is on Huntington Avenue. Cross to
the inbound side of the street and walk outbound. Walk around to the back
of the Cabot Gymnasium to find the Forsyth Building.
By Subway From The Airport
Free shuttle busses, numbered 22 and 33 stop at the subway station.
Take the inbound Blue line and change to the Orange Line. Exit at Ruggles
Station. Note: Purchase subway tokens from the booth at the Airport Station.
BY AUTO
Visitor parking is at the Renaissance parking garage at the end of Columbus
Avenue next to the Ruggles station. Park and cross over the train tracks
through Ruggles station. The Egan building is the first building to your
right when you exit from Ruggles on to the Northeastern campus.
From the Airport or Northern Suburbs
Follow signs for Storrow Drive West. Take Fenway Exit from Storrow Drive.
Follow directions below from Storrow Drive.
From Western Suburbs via Mass Pike (I--90)
Take Exit 22, "Copley Square," and keep to right. Turn right on Dartmouth
Street. Turn right on Columbus Av, and continue to NU parking.
Alternate from Western Suburbs via Mass Pike (I--90)
Take Exit 18 "Allston, Cambridge," and follow signs to Boston. This will
put you on Storrow Drive along the Charles River. Take Fenway Exit and
follow instructions below from Storrow Drive.
from Southern Suburbs via I--93
Take Exit 18, "Mass Ave., Roxbury," and follow Melnea Cass Blvd. to its
end. Turn right on Columbus Avenue and follow signs to NU parking.
Storrow Drive---Fenway Exit to NU Parking
Keep left past "Boylston Street Outbound" and then keep right past "Boylston
Street Inbound." At the Fens Gate, keep straight onto Westland Avenue.
Take a gentle right on Massachusetts Avenue. After crossing the Orange
Line, turn right on Columbus Avenue and follow signs to NU parking.
Finding The Building:
From the Renaissance parking area, walk right and enter Ruggles T station.
Cross over to the other side to enter Northeastern University campus. The
first building on the right is Egan Research Center.
